Start Collecting Red Tickets November 1st

The Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce encourages shopping local for the holiday season and promoting the sustainability of island commerce, so we are continuing our popular Holiday Red Ticket Program. Participating Chamber member businesses give out one red ticket for every $25 spent. On December 24th, 5 lucky winners of $1,000 and 1 extra-lucky winner of $5,000 will be chosen at random from the multitude of tickets.

On the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 27th at 4 PM, we kick off our Annual Tree Lighting & Community Caroling. Enjoy the beauty of Nantucket as we prepare for this one-of-a-kind holiday season. Over 150 trees will magically come alive in a blaze of light as we enjoy musical performances.

Please note that Main Street will be closed from 12-6 pm.

We need you to help make this the best Tree Lighting yet! Bring your singing voices so you can sing along during the community caroling. The words to the carols are available here on our website, and we will have a scannable QR code posted on Main Street with a link to the carols.

The island’s world-renowned signature event lovingly dubbed “Stroll” takes place the weekend of December 4th to December 6th, featuring the eagerly anticipated arrival of Santa via his nautical “sleigh” at noon on Saturday. A host of holiday activities, including roaming carolers in Victorian garb, the Magical Talking Tree, craft shows, a European-style Christmas Marketplace, and more, guarantee fun for the entire family. Join us as we transform the island into a Winter Wonderland and create delightful memories at this year's Christmas Stroll, December 4th through 6th, 2026.

Meander through our wondrous Christmas Stroll Marketplace and celebrate the enchantment of the season.  Indulge in the aromas of delectable food and beverages as you chat with friends and survey a variety of handcrafted gifts and merchandise sold by Chamber members and non-profit organizations. Located at the Stop & Shop Lot Downtown, 9 Salem Street, near the bottom of Main Street.
