"Mayor" of Nantucket. But Not Really. Many have made the claim, it's time we make this official. The Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce invites you to vote for the Mayor! Unlike a real election, this position is completely ceremonial and has no official capacity. Nantucket's actual form of government is Town Meeting.  We at the Chamber are an independent nonprofit, and have no ability whatsoever to change actual Town policies.

Perks for the winning candidate will include a sporting sash, ceremonial 'Key to our Office', a ride on the Coast Guard boat with Santa, and other fun benefits.  Funds raised will go to support the community-facing Chamber events like Tree Lighting, Stroll, Daffodil, and other activities throughout the year.  Additionally, we will make a $100 donation to the charity of the Candidates choice, as a "Thank You" for their participation.
