Three Great Locations on One Great Day!

On Saturday, July 4th, the Town of Nantucket will offer activities all day long to celebrate the nation’s 250th Independence Day! Locations include the Main Street area, Children’s Beach, and Jetties Beach.

Main Street Area
8:30am-12:30pm: Sustainable Nantucket’s Farmer’s Market, Cambridge Street between Federal and South Water Streets.

8:30am-12:30pm: Food trucks will be located on Federal Street between Main and India Streets.

9:00am: 27th Anniversary Reading of the Declaration of Independence at St Paul's Church, 20 Fair St

10:00am-10:30am: USA 250th Nantucket High School Drumline Parade

10:45am-11:15am: Community Band Performance

11:30am - 12:30pm: Annual Water Contest

Children’s Beach

10:00am: P.J. Moody sings the National Anthem and other patriotic music at the bandstand.

10:00am-Noon: Matt Fee Tea Toss, on the lawn. Cornhole tournament on the lawn. Face painting near the boat ramp and playground corners.

10:45am-11:30am: Magic Mark performs at the bandstand

11:45am - 12:15pm: Kids Music & Movement with Cory Morgan

12:15pm-12:45pm: PJ Moody plays music at the bandstand

12:20pm - 12:30pm: Children's Bike Parade

5:00pm: Children’s Games on the beach, 3-legged race, wheelbarrow race, potato sack race, and the crowd favorite tug of war!

Jetties Beach
9:00pm: Fireworks. The show lasts approximately 25-27 minutes and is shot from a barge just offshore.

Starting at 6:00pm NRTA Wave buses will depart from in front of The Whaling Museum on Broad Street every 10-15 minutes. Buses will return from Jetties Beach after the fireworks up to 10:30pm.
