What do Massachusetts employers need to do to safely and effectively get back to business? As the Commonwealth progresses through its four-phased approach to reopening the economy, employers are facing many new and complex management challenges.
In this interactive webinar, Kirsten B. White of Schwartz Hannum PC will lead a discussion on employment law issues associated with resuming operations amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This program will cover legal issues and employer obligations associated with reopening the workplace, including implementing employee health screenings; paid leave under the Families FirstCoronavirus Response Act (“FFCRA”); compliance with other federal, state and local leave laws; requests for accommodations under the Americans With Disabilities Act (“ADA”); confidentiality of employee health information; and, implementing and enforcing new workplace safety standards. The program also will summarize recommended new workplace policies, and existing policies employers should modify to minimize legal risk and promote a smooth transition back to full strength.

Kirsten B. White is a Partner at Schwartz Hannum PC. She counsels employers on compliance with a range of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, including wage and hour issues and
matters related to corporate transactions and workplace policies. Kirsten frequently speaks as an experienced management-side labor and employment practitioner at national and regional conferences and seminars for attorneys, human resources and labor relations professionals, and education leaders. Kirsten is a graduate of Middlebury College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. From 2009 to 2013, Kirsten served as Policy Director to Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden in the Office of the Vice President of the United States.
