Live Music at The Chicken Box. Dalton and the Sheriffs
Call it Boston country. Call it accidental country. Call it what you will. Dalton and the Sheriffs is a band from Boston, Mass. that adds a rock edge to their down-home, three-chords-and-the-truth songwriting.
The band has earned an ardent following in the city of Boston on the back of tireless gigging, their debut album, East of Broadway (which moved over 1,500 units as an independent release) and their recent series of singles recorded at Zippah Studios with Brian Charles (The Sheila Divine) and Drew Townson (Girls Guns and Glory/Los Texicanos). Prominent among those singles is Flying Down a Backroad, which reached No. 165 on the iTunes Country charts in late 2014.
The band has used this notoriety to branch out of their Boston home, making appearances throughout the country from an appearance at CMA Fest on the Bud Light House of Whatever stage, to the side stage at the inaugural Big Barrel Country Fest in Delaware, in addition to appearances at various Toby Keith's I Love This Bar franchises. The band's main songwriters also passed the audition process for Sunday Night Writer's Night at the Bluebird Cafe.
In this process, they have become a preferred option for bands on tour in the New England area as an opening act. They have provided same stage support to artists such as David Nail, Jon Pardi, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, Love and Theft, Easton Corbin, Craig Campbell, Josh Thompson among others. The band has made multiple appearances through Live Nation at the House of Blues in Boston, as well as the Paradise Rock Club, and earned a 5-month Friday night residency at the Live Nation-booked Brighton Music Hall last fall.
The band's next single in the Zippah Studios series, entitled, "Won't Let Go" is due out on iTunes in late November.
