  •    The first event of its kind on the island, the NICE Pitch Competition is a public “shark tank” inspired event where local Nantucket entrepreneurs will “pitch” a panel of distinguished judges, to compete for cash and other valuable prizes, including a feature in N Magazine.

     

  • How It Works:

    The competition is open to any Nantucket resident with an idea for a new business, or a Nantucket business founder seeking support to evolve and grow their company. 

    Following an open submission process, up to 10 entrepreneurs will be selected.  These finalists will pitch their business plan in front of the live audience and panel of judges. Each pitch will be limited to a 3-minute presentation, followed by 2 minutes of Q&A from the judges.  Once all contestants have pitched, the panel of judges will retire to a separate room to score each entrepreneur and determine the winners.  During this time, audience participants will also vote on their “audience choice” winner.  All winners will be announced, and prizes distributed, at the end of the 90-minute event.
