The Artists Association of Nantucket hosts the Faculty Holiday Showcase and Sale, November 13-December 30

“Tis the Season to let Art warm the Heart!”

Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN) is delighted to announce that it is hosting the Faculty Holiday Showcase and Sale from November 13 through December 30 at the Visual Arts Center, 24 Amelia Drive. The show will be open Monday-Friday, 9 A.M. to 5 P.M.

“This exhibition is a great opportunity to see the artwork of AAN’s talented faculty and staff all in one place, and to browse for one-of-a-kind holiday gifts,” said AAN Director of Youth Programming and Ceramics Department Manager Elizabeth Buccino. “The show will include work in a variety of media such as printmaking, painting, illustration, mixed media and pottery.”

Elizabeth Congdon, AAN Director of Adult Programming, added that, "This holiday show is a celebration of our faculty and staff whose passion for both teaching and creating art makes the AAN an inspiring place to learn all year round."

The work will grace the gallery walls in the lobby of the Visual Arts Center on Amelia Drive. This gallery has held many remarkable exhibitions over the past five years from Permanent Collection shows to visiting artist exhibitions and student work of all ages.

Curator of the show, AAN Artistic Director Robert Frazier said, “There will be works of all sizes and price points, basically something for everyone!” To add to the holiday spirit, the show will feature a grab-bag bin with $1, $5, and $10 art supplies and treasures. Be sure to stop by the Visual Arts Center, now through December 30, to see the show and for a chance at the grab bag!

The Faculty Holiday Showcase and Sale will be on display from November 13 – December 30 at the Visual Arts Center Gallery, 24 Amelia Drive. The gallery is open, Monday—Friday, 9 A.M.–5 P.M.
