    Artists Association of Nantucket Hosts
    Annual 10 x 10 Exhibition opening Sept. 10
In the Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson

Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN) is delighted to announce the opening of the
10 x 10 Exhibition on September 10 in the Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery, 19 Washington Street. The doors will open at 10 A.M. on Friday, September 10 and the show will remain on display through Monday, Oct. 4.

2021 marks the 10 x 10 exhibition’s seventeenth year, and it has truly become a beloved AAN tradition.  Because every piece on display measures 10 inches by 10 inches, it is an exciting opportunity to see the many different ways an artist approaches a 10 x 10 canvas.

“This year each artist was invited to contribute six 10 x 10 works and it is always fascinating to see how diverse the same sized canvas can appear;” said gallery manager Peter J. Greenhalgh.  “The 10 x 10 show is also a favorite among our artists, and we are always gratified to be able to offer this show since so many customers tell us how much they look forward to this yearly exhibition,” added Greenhalgh.

AAN is also hosting an online exhibition entitled Autumn Colors, which features additional art with no 10 x 10 size restrictions, and may be found on our new website, www.nantucketarts.org//art  running through September 27.

The 10 x 10 Exhibition will be on display from September 10 – October 4 at the Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery, 19 Washington Street - in the heart of Nantucket’s Cultural District.  The gallery is open, Monday –Saturday 10 A.M.–5 P.M., closed 2 – 2:30.
