    AAN Presents
    Annual Wet Paint Auction
    In ONLINE Format
Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN) is pleased to announce that art from the popular late-season fundraiser will be available for a day of in-person viewing on Sunday, October 10 at Bartlett’s Farm, 33 Bartlett Farm Road, from 10 AM – 4 PM. Works may be purchased online beginning at 10 AM Sunday.
This special viewing is free and open to the public.  Face coverings must be worn and Covid 19 best practices will be followed to keep guests and staff safe.
“In past years, during the week leading up to Columbus Day weekend, you could find our AAN artists en plein air painting around the island; however, this year we’re allowing the more than 70 participating artists longer to prepare since the auction will be strictly online,” said AAN executive director, Courtney Bridges. The online auction will run from Sunday, October 10 at 10 AM through Wednesday, October 13 until 5 PM.
AAN is also delighted to note that artist members Jocelyn Sandor Urban, Tracy Daily, and Kit Noble are our featured artists for Wet Paint, and have allowed us the use of one of their works for our Wet Paint publicity.
“All of the art in the auction will be recently finished pieces and the preview will consist of paintings, mixed media, ceramics, woodcarvings, and some photography. While there will not be in-person bidding accepted at Bartlett’s Farm, there will be QR codes to direct patrons to the auction site,” added Bridges.
“As guests participate in the online auction, they will also notice there is a buy-it-now componentwhere pieces may be purchased outrightif for instance they find a favorite artist’s work, or don’t have time to go back to the online auction before it closes,” said AAN artistic director Robert Frazier.

“AAN is pleased to be able to offer the community this opportunity to enjoy an art-filled Sunday during the holiday weekend, and we remain grateful to our artists for their participation in this online format. Last year we showcased truly amazing works, and we
are so excited to see what our artists submit for this year’s Wet Paint event. Proceeds from the online auction will support AAN’s artist members, arts programs, gallery, and year-round public programs,” added Bridges.
AAN is grateful to Wet Paint Chairs Jill and Tim Vieth, and our generous business sponsors: Emeritus, Ltd, Hingham Institution for Savings, Island Kitchen, Nantucket Oasis Pools, and White Hart Design – all of whom have contributed so kindly to make Wet Paint possible.
And a very big shout out to BARTLETT’S FARM for their continued partnership.
