AAN’s Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery
named Best Gallery in Inquirer and Mirror’s Best Of Nantucket
Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN) is delighted to announce that the
Inquirer and Mirror’s annual
Best of Nantucket has named the Artists Association of Nantucket’s Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery as the Best Art Gallery for 2021.
“We are delighted with this honor and are thrilled to be acknowledged by the
I&M’s broad readership, which makes this award a wonderful tribute to our talented artists and capable AAN team,” said AAN executive director
Courtney Bridges.
Earlier in the season, the gallery was also honored with a Silver award in
Cape Cod Life magazine’s 30th Anniversary issue of its
Best of Cape Cod & the Island readers’ choice awards. “With close to three hundred artist members, these accolades are a lovely nod to all the hard work our artists put into their work and their ongoing support of our gallery and online exhibitions,” said AAN’s artist director
Robert Frazier.
“As we celebrate the organizations seventy-sixth season, these impartial distinctions are exciting because they not only recognize the amazing range of our artists, they are a terrific credit to our entire organization, which like many have been giving a real extra effort during all the Covid 19 restrictions,” said AAN gallery director
Peter J. Greenhalgh. “It’s a proud moment for all of us.”
“Each year we continue to accept new AAN artist members, whose works include island-made jewelry, pastels, oil, acrylics, & watercolor paintings, ceramics, sculptures, mixed media, photographs, textiles and encaustic works,” added
Frazier.
The
Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery is located at 19 Washington Street, just off Main Street - in the heart of Nantucket’s Cultural District. The gallery is open, Monday –Saturday 10 A.M.–5 P.M., closed 2 – 2:30.
