TWO DAFFODIL FESTIVAL EVENTS CANCELLED for 2021
CAR PARADE and SIASCONSET PICNIC DELAYED UNTIL 2022
Nantucket MA 21 Jan 2020 — Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce has determined, in coordination with the Town of Nantucket, and with an abundance of caution, to again cancel 2021’s Daffodil Festival Car Parade and Siasconset Picnic due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In its place, the Chamber will plan a spring initiative, “Help Our Businesses Bloom,” as the kickoff to the spring/summer 2021 season. Events will include shopping and dining initiatives supporting local businesses in addition to virtual events in celebration of Nantucket’s renowned daffodil season. Additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.
If you are a registered Car Parade participant, events director Karmen Caylor will contact you directly relative to your existing registration and options. If you have not been able to connect with Karmen directly by January 27th please telephone her at 508-228-1700 x5 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is our most fervent belief and hope that, by staying safe and cancelling these close contact events this spring, we can ensure the best health and success for island businesses and community this summer.
Nantucket Chamber of Commerce is the primary business advocacy organization on Nantucket representing more than 750 island businesses. Partnering with the Mass Office of Travel & Tourism the Chamber also implements domestic and international tourism initiatives to promote the island’s economic development to its vital tourism entities.
