Artists Association of Nantucket
Hosts 2022 early-winter
First Light ONLINE Exhibition
Winter, the islands off-season, a time of catching up with old friends, quiet walks, hunkering down inside by a cozy fire, and the chance to buy local art from the comfort of your own home. The Artists Association of Nantucket
(AAN) is delighted to announce the opening of our first 2022 Online exhibition, First Light
, which goes live on Wednesday, January 26, at 9 A.M. with art available 24/7 through February 21.

“This curated exhibition will showcase a selection of art by our local artist members typically not available during the off-season. By offering these online exhibitions, we are not only giving our artists continued exposure during the on-going world-wide pandemic, but also allowing the public to enjoy and purchase special pieces, while remaining in the comfort and safety of their own homes,” said AAN gallery director Peter J. Greenhalgh.
We chose the title “First Light”
because it can have many meanings, just like the vast talent among our members as it pays tribute to our artists who have been hard at work honing their skills and creating new works,” said AAN artistic director & curator Robert Frazier.
“We are delighted to offer these Online works and give patrons the opportunity to add to their collections or start one in the new year. This is an exciting opportunity to view and purchase beautiful art during the typically quiet season,” added Frazier.
“Additional works will be added throughout the exhibition, so it’s a wonderful chance to find that perfect piece for an empty wall, office, or new business location,” said Greenhalgh.
