Nantucket Community Music Center Names New Executive Director
NCMC Welcomes New Executive Director, Anthony Wagner

Nantucket, MA, October 27, 2020 – Anthony Wagner has been named the new Executive Director of the Nantucket Community Music Center, bringing extensive experience in non-profit development and public relations. He will work alongside Director of Operations, Andrea Wulffleff, beginning this month.

Tony began his career as an audio technician and joins the NCMC with over 20 years’ experience in public relations and communications, ranging from media affairs to web design to developing brand identity. Having honed such expertise in a multitude of diverse areas, he most recently worked as a freelance non-profit consultant, specializing in the assistance of organizations to refine their mission, create implementation strategies, and launch new initiatives.

NCMC Board President Lucy Hehir stated “We are excited about the energy and enthusiasm that Tony brings to the NCMC.  His comprehensive experience and insight will be a great asset in helping the NCMC better serve the Nantucket community.”

Wagner recently moved to Nantucket with his wife, Michelle, who assumed the role of Chief Nursing Officer at Nantucket Cottage Hospital over the summer. They are looking forward to being part of the island community and have been involved with the arts since their arrival, as Tony spent this summer working with the Dreamland as the sound designer for their production of 13 The Musical.

“Music has always been a passion. I am excited to be part of an organization that makes a difference and plays a critical role in enriching the cultural and intellectual life of Nantucket,” said Mr. Wagner.  “I look forward to expanding our community engagement and establishing close ties with new partners.”
