NANTUCKET CHAMBER’S “RED TICKET” DRAWING WINNERS FIVE $1,000 and ONE $5,000 WINNERS NAMED CHRISTMAS EVE

Nantucket, MA 24 December 2020 — Melissa Murphy, interim President/CEO of Nantucket Chamber of Commerce, today announced the five winners of its Holiday Red Ticket Program after the drawing at 3:00pm on Christmas Eve.

The highly popular Holiday Red Ticket Program encourages local holiday shopping and promotes the sustainability of commerce on Nantucket. Participating Nantucket Chamber member businesses offer one “red ticket” for every $25 purchase.

The drawing for winners for a total of $10,000 was streamed virtually on the Chamber’s YouTube Channel today. Five lucky shoppers won $1,000 each in extra Christmas shopping allowance and one extra lucky shopper won five times that amount — a whopping $5,000 — for just ‘shopping local!’ Winners need not have been present at the drawing to win when their names were chosen at random from the whaling boat at Nantucket Historical Association.

    Winners:
Nicholas Gulley: $ 5,000 (ticket from Stop & Shop)
Stephanie Grant: $ 1,000 (ticket from Stop & Shop)
Carrie Thornewill: $1,000 (ticket from Haul Over Nantucket)
Juan Acosta: $1,000 (ticket from Don Allen Ford)
Tori Samuel: $1,000 (ticket from Flowers on Chestnut)
Holly Finigan: $1,000 (ticket from Island Lumber)
