EXCLUSIVE MEMBER EVENT FOR THE NANTUCKET LIGHTSHIP BASKET MUSEUM: A
TOUR OF THE ASIAN ART COLLECTION AND GARDENS OF DAVID BILLINGS AND
    BEVERLY HALL
    THURSDAY, AUGUST 22, 2019
    FROM 12:00 – 2:00 PM
Nantucket, MA, August 16, 2019 - The Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum is pleased to
announce a special luncheon featuring a Museum and Garden Tour at the home of David
    Billings and Beverly Hall on August 22, 2019 from 12 – 2pm.
One of the foremost collections of Asian art in the world resides right here on Nantucket. David
Billings has been collecting the pieces in his museum, some of which have been lent out to
major museums, for over 40 years. When touring this collection with David, it is impossible to
overlook his love of history and his vast expertise in Chinese and Asian art.
The gardens surrounding the home of David and his wife, Beverly Hall, are equally impressive
as the collections inside. Beverly Hall is perhaps best known for her photography and her
portrayal of Hannah Monaghan at Greater Light. She is an equally talented gardener who has
created an oasis of tranquility in the middle of Madaket. She will lead groups on a tour through
her spectacular gardens, allowing visitors to stake out their favorite corner in which to enjoy a
    boxed lunch al fresco.
Tickets to this exclusive event are $25 and can be purchased by calling the museum at 508-
228-1177. You must be a member of the museum to attend. Not yet a member? Memberships
are available at the museum or online at https://www.nantucketlightshipbasketmuseum.org/support/membership .
All proceeds will benefit the Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum. Executive Director, Andrea
Wulffleff says, “This is a rare opportunity to see one of Nantucket’s best kept secrets. The
collection and the garden are both unparalleled, as is the knowledge and expertise of our
    hosts.”
