    Hosts new ONLINE Exhibition

    Works of Summer

The Artists Association of Nantucket (AAN) is delighted to announce the opening of another Online exhibition, Works of Summer, which goes live on Friday May 27 with art available 24/7 through June 15.  You may view work at:  https://www.nantucketarts.org/art

“With the excitement of summer fast approaching, we thought these works showcasing seasonal imagery would afford our audiences a sneak peak of what makes a Nantucket summer so special,” said AAN artistic director & curator Robert Frazier. “These curated online shows remain quite popular, thus we are happy to give those not able to get to the island a chance to acquire some beautiful local art from the comfort of their own homes, wherever they may be,” added Frazier.

Works continue to be added throughout the exhibition, and with close to three hundred artist members, there is a vast range and remarkable selection of work available for purchase.  Online works include oils, watercolor, pastels, mixed media, ceramics, photographs, textiles, and some jewelry.

“With the Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery at 19 Washington St. now open, these online shows - exhibiting work that is not found in the gallery - give our artists an additional venue in which to showcase their art, so it is like having two shows at once,” said AAN gallery director Peter J. Greenhalgh.

The Works of Summer online exhibition will be available 24/7 from May 27 – June 15 at: https://www.nantucketarts.org/art
