FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 3 April 2020

2020 Nantucket Book Festival Moves to Virtual Format

The Nantucket Book Festival will create an online experience for its audience to experience and enjoy the 2020 lineup of authors.

NANTUCKET, MA — In light of the COVID-19 precautions, The Nantucket Book Foundation is unable to present the 9 th annual Nantucket Book Festival in its “traditional” multi-venue format in downtown Nantucket on June 18-21. However, Festival staff and board members are working on producing a “virtual Festival” with opportunities to hear from the 2020 author lineup, listed at https://nantucketbookfestival.org/authors. The Book Foundation also expects to celebrate Nantucket’s local authors later this year, as well as a return of its Visiting Author program to island schools when they resume.
Ongoing developments will be posted at https://nantucketbookfestival.org as details are confirmed.

The Nantucket Book Foundation encourages its supporters to contribute to The Nantucket Fund for Emergency Relief, to support those who are most vulnerable in our community during this time. Information is available at https://cfnan.org/give/give-now/.
