There are two segments of the tour to choose from or you can do both together to gain the full historic & scenic perspective of Nantucket.

The downtown walking tour takes approximately 1.5 hours & covers how the island was first formed, history of the Wampanoag Native Americans, early European settlement, the development & decline of the whaling industry, island culture & heritage & the decline & rebirth of the island as we walk around areas of downtown.

The island tour consists of driving to scenic areas & sites of interest, depending on where you would like to go & what you would like to see. The extended island tour is approximately 2 hours, dependent upon the number & proximity of the chosen locations. Scenic areas & sites of interest include Sconset Village, Sankaty Light house, Wauwinet, the Old Mill, & then back into town down Main Street to see the historic mansions.
