    About Us

The Nantucket Field Station is a satellite campus of the University of Massachusetts at Boston. It sits on 107 acres owned by the Nantucket Conservation Foundation and is managed by the University of Massachusetts at Boston. The public is welcomed to walk the trails or the beach of the grounds daily from 9AM to 5PM, unless otherwise posted. Groups of 12 or more are asked to call or email in advance to check-in with the station director prior to visiting.
Immersive accredited courses are open to students from any institution to take. A range of research by scientists and scholars from many institutions and agencies is supported at the Nantucket Field Station.
