    Job Description
    The Dreamland Development Associate position is primarily responsible for assisting the Executive
    Director in carrying out the implement of fundraising activities for the Dreamland. The Dreamland is
    Nantucket’s year-round, community-supported film and cultural center, open 364 days a year.
    The Development Associate will provide support to and work in collaboration with the Executive
    Director. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize as well as multi-
    task. Fundraising is essential to the overall success of the Dreamland and therefore it is imperative that
    the person in this role be dedicated to providing the support needed by the Executive Director to assist in
    the securing the resources necessary to support the Dreamland’s varied programs.
    Duties and Responsibilities:
     In partnership with the Executive Director, implement a comprehensive fundraising plan and
     Act as administrator of all donor databases and manage all records, files, and gift processing.
     Responsible for management and fulfillment of all donor benefits, including the campaign,
    membership and business sponsors.
     Oversee maintenance of donor management software and data entry.
     Research and draft proposals for foundation, county, state, federal and corporate grants
     Maintain Dreamland memberships and issue renewals
     Assist in soliciting screen advertisers and work with the Director of Marketing and
    Communications to implement all advertising contracts.
     Coordinate semi-annual appeal mailings
     Assist with coordinating of special events
     Work with Executive Director to develop a robust volunteer program.
     Perform administrative support including dissemination of information, planning and scheduling
    meetings, and perform other tasks as needed.

     4 year Bachelors degree
     2+ years experience in non-profit fundraising
     Proficiency in donor software as well as Microsoft Office Suite
     Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written)
     Highly organized and motivated
