    Job Description
    Requirements: ? Completion of required domestic violence and sexual assault pre-service training (min. 40 hours) within first month of employment ? Completion of required 6 hours of continuing education per year ? Professional appearance and presentation ? Ability to express oneself clearly both verbally and in writing ? Proficient computer knowledge and skills ? Be able to work competently under pressure; have non-judgmental attitude; and adhere to agency policy of confidentiality ? The ability to relate to diverse populations including non-English speaking families, the GLBT community, and individuals with histories of substance abuse and/or mental illness. ? Willing to learn about and actively use multicultural awareness and understanding in daily work. Duties and Responsibilities: ? Schedule and complete intakes ? Provide community based crisis intervention, case management, safety planning and advocacy (including: economic; legal; housing; immigration; financial) to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault ? Maintain complete and accurate records of all service contacts and submit data as required by the agency and funders in a timely manner ? Receive 1 hour of clinical supervision per 20 hours of direct client services or a minimum of ½ hour per month. ? Attend and participate in all staff meetings at A Safe Place ? Collaborate with other community services providers ? Answer crisis hotline during the day and occasional nights and weekends ? Coordinate with other advocates to assist emergency walk-ins and respond to call outs to NPD, NCH or the Courts ? Coordinate and conduct outreach efforts and prevention education ? Represent the agency at meetings, on and off the island, at the direction of the Executive Director ? Other duties as needed, at the direction of the Director of Program
