Winter Wildlife & Nantucket Sound

Join us as the Alliance continues its celebrated ACONS (A Celebration of Nantucket Sound) webinar series on Thursday, November 3 at 6pm, with a look at winter wildlife in and around Nantucket Sound. Back by popular demand, our guest speaker will be Zak Mertz, Executive Director of the Birdsey Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable.

For this webinar, we will take a special look at the abundant winter wildlife, with Zak showing us some of the winter visitors to Nantucket Sound. We will learn about how native wildlife adapts to and survives the colder weather, and cover ways in which the storm season impacts our local animals and environments. Zak gave a fascinating presentation (accompanied by his barn owl) back in April 2022. There was so much interest and information, we had to invite him back!
