Our Nantucket Art Colony: The Golden Age

Join AAN’s Artistic Director and art historian Bobby Frazier for an evening celebrating the beginnings of Nantucket’s vibrant art colony, as he presents “The Long Way Home.” This exhibition, currently on view at AAN’s Big Gallery on 12 Straight Wharf, features our Permanent Collection's treasures created on island from the 1920’s through 1970’s. Bobby will follow a short slide presentation with a tour of the show, sharing his personal insights, recollections, and insider stories about these dedicated artists who captured five decades of Nantucket in an era long gone by, but not forgotten. This very special event is free to AAN members and open to the public for a $5 donation towards the Permanent Collection.
