"Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals (NiSHA) is the island's animal shelter. We offer: shelter for stray, abandoned or surrendered pets; pet adoptions; community outreach services; and humane education. Since our inception in 2012, we've helped 1,700 pets find new homes; assisted 300 families through services and pet financial aid; and reached 1,400 youth through our many Humane Education programs."
