Lighthouses of Nantucket Sound Webinar

ACONS is an educational webinar series designed to celebrate Nantucket Sound’s exceptional environment, robust history, and cultural importance to the Cape and Islands. Each webinar will feature a renowned expert, who will discuss one of the Sound’s unique values.

Our first webinar on September 17th at 6pm will focus on Lighthouse of Nantucket Sound with Jeremy D’Entremont. During this free webinar, you will hear tales of Nantucket Sound’s historic lighthouses and the fascinating keepers that maintained them. Jeremy is a leading expert on New England’s lighthouses, having authored or co-authored over 20 books. Jeremy is the president and historian for the American Lighthouse Foundation, historian for the U.S. Lighthouse Society, and the founder of Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouses. He has appeared on the History Channel, the Travel Channel, Public Television, and NPR.

The 30 minute presentation will be followed by a live Q&A with Jeremy, facilitated by the Alliance.
