Find Bettie the Bus / Think Clean, Go Green!
Come jumpstart your way to a chemical and plastic-free home. Spring is known for a lot of things: fresh air, daffodils galore and spring cleaning! You'll find the best natural products for your home and body. Containers will be available for purchase or you may bring your own!
Sustainable Nantucket is excited to bring Jessica Georges and Bettie the Bus of Green Road Refill over from Cape Cod to help you ditch the plastic and live a more environmentally friendly life. Bettie is a converted school bus full of household and personal products in bulk, so save your containers from the dump and refill them on April 6th! The idea is simple--it's a mobile bulk refill shop that travels from town to town. You buy one of our refillable bottles (or bring your own) and fill up with everything form natural shampoo and lotions to household cleaning products--and they are all eco-friendly! Additionally, they offer other earth-friendly products from stainless steel straws to bamboo toothbrushes, kitchen gadgets, alternatives to plastic wrap, and eco-conscious cleaning supplies such as mops, brooms, and sponges. A portion of all sales will be donated to Sustainable Nantucket to help further our mission to improve the local food system on Nantucket and support our programs: Farm to School, the Community Farm Institute and the Farmers & Artisans Market. Thank you to our partners 100 Mile Makers and Nantucket Eco Group.
