Curling for Beginners with the Nantucket Curling Club

In this four-week comprehensive session taught by Nantucket Curling League members, participants will learn the basics of the sport (delivery of the stone, sweeping, strategy and etiquette) and progress into game play, scoring, etc. There will be both on and off-ice instruction. No experience or equipment is required. Dress warm and wear comfortable rubber soled shoes. *Stick curling is available for those with physical limitations. Curling is a worldwide sport that has been around for centuries. It is a unique mix between shuffleboard and bowling. This non-skating sport is played on ice and offers numerous health benefits such as; aerobic exercise, improved muscle strength, improved flexibility, sharpened mental concentration and positive social interaction.
