And teaching individuals how they can change the course of this fatal disease

Featuring nationally and internationally recognized speaker Janina Kean. Kean introduced treatment for opiate addiction in China's opiate triangle of the world-the Yuan Provence. She taught treatment for alcohol addiction in Saint Petersburg, Russia and converted a 12-Step treatment program in the United States into an evidence based medical model for Substance Use disorder.

Explores how stigma and barriers to treatment prevent those with addiction from getting well. Jean will also define co-occurring psychiatric disorders and evidence-based treatment.

Examines how a family interacts and then becomes out of control when a loved one suffers from addiction and co-occurring psychiatric disorders.
