SUMMARY:Painting and Connections with Elizabeth Congdon
DESCRIPTION:Feeling Stressed?\n\nTake a FREE Art Class or Workshop this Fall!\n\nEnrollment is limited\, so please register asap.\n\nphone: (508) 228 - 0722\n\nemail: elizabeth@nantucketarts.org / lizb@nantucketarts.org\n\n\n\nExperience how painting something deeply personal can impact your artistic focus. A beloved person\, pet\, place\, or object can inspire you to see a certain beauty and truth beyond what a studio still life or random photo reference has to offer. What is significant to our hearts challenges our eyes to be accurate and engaged with our depiction of shape and color. We are more committed to be expressive with our use of line and brushstroke. So bring in your favorite teapot or running shoes\, a branch of apples\, a photograph of your favorite pet or happy place -- whatever brings you joy -- and explore all the ways that your attachments and associations can elevate your communication both internally and externally. Elizabeth Congdon will show in weekly demonstrations how oil painting techniques and chromatic pigments can create vibrancy and mood\, as she works with you to achieve your personal goals. Some knowledge of drawing fundamentals are required.
