  • Nantucket Island Center for Entrepreneurship
The Nantucket Island Center for Entrepreneurship (NICE) launched in January 2019 with the mission of creating the optimal local environment where resources are provided, and connections are made, and to support the successful launch and growth of new businesses on Nantucket.

While Massachusetts offers a supportive and dynamic start-up community, travel barriers make it extremely difficult for our local entrepreneurs to participate in these programs. Yet with 69% of entrepreneurs starting businesses in their own home, having access to local resources is critical to the success of Nantucket’s emerging small business economy.

NICE offers one-on-one consulting, structured educational programs and a carefully curated network of mentors, tailored to the needs of Nantucket’s unique market.  Focusing on early stage companies, the Center’s complement the existing member programming and resources for more established members of the Nantucket business community.

Additional benefits for all island residents include:

    • New products/services created to fulfill currently unmet needs.
    • An overall increase in quality of product/service offerings on the island.
    • Retention of top island entrepreneurial talent.
