"South Pacific Whale Tales: A Perspective of Whales, Then and Now" with Nan Daeschler Hauser
Join the NHA and world-renowned ocean conservationist Nan Daeschler Hauser for a thrilling evening of underwater stories from the South Pacific and beyond as she shares her adventures researching one of the last populations of endangered humpback whales on the planet.
Hauser will highlight a variety of topics including the history of South Pacific whaling across Oceania, the similarities between Nantucket and Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, why whales are important to the health of the ocean, and so much more.
Tickets are available for the lecture only (6 – 7 P.M.) as well as the lecture and short reception afterwards (7 – 8 P.M.).
