New Guinea Walk & Talk: Daffodil Weekend Walking Tours
Come celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the Daffodil Festival, an annual tradition welcoming springtime awakening on Nantucket Island. Feel free to wear your Daffy Hat over to the African Meeting House –Sunday afternoon -- for a 'Walk & Talk' through the New Guinea community, where African and Native residents settled in the 18th and 19th centuries. Join MAAH Site Manager Charity-Grace Lambert for a stroll through history. See our historic buildings, stop by the only windmill still standing on island, explore the Colored Cemetery, and pass Angola Street, one of the few still bearing its original New Guinea name.
