Birds and Brews!
The Linda Loring Nature Foundation is excited to announce the 1st Ever Birds and Brews! Join us on May 13th for this thrilling two-part event! The morning will feature a birding blitz across different island habitats, in which we attempt to observe as many species as possible. In the afternoon we will head over to Cisco Brewers to tally species lists, compile our results, and celebrate bird conservation/research. The morning birding session will begin at 8:00am and go till noon. The afternoon brewery session will last from noon to 3:00pm. Birds and Brews was scheduled to align with two major birding events; International Migratory Bird Day and Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Global Big Day. Species data will be submitted to eBird as part of the Global Big Day effort. This event is free and open to people of all birding experience. Skilled guides will be on-hand to assist with species identification. Limited quantities of binoculars will be available to borrow and spotting scopes will be available to share. Participants are welcome to join for either the morning birding, afternoon brewery, or both sessions. For those who plan to participate in the birding session, please meet at the LLNF office, 110 Eel Point Road by 7:45am, we will carpool from there. Although this is a free event, prior registration is required to participate in the morning birding session.
