Chamber Logo

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As we celebrate 80 years of serving our community, the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce is proud of our tremendous growth year-over-year.  Our Chamber is now comprised of over 600 business members, with over 70 new members in the past year alone.  With each business membership, that organization's employees are able to take advantage of all we offer...from networking events to business development training, health insurance discounts, master mind programs and so much more.  We are proud to have approximately 1,200 business people actively taking part in Chamber programs and communications.

Our members are the lifeblood of our organization:  their dedication and participation in Chamber committees, community outreach and events have contributed to many accolades and awards for our island including:

National Geographic's "Best Island in the World"
            TripAdvisor's "#8 in Top U.S. Islands"
Travel & Leisure's "One of America's Greatest Main Streets"
            Travel Channel's "#3 ranking for U.S. Beaches"
Flipkey's "One of the Top East Coast Beach Vacations"

and so many more while at the same time, making our Chamber a voice for business in both the community and in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

To some, being a Chamber member is an important part of their organization’s marketing plan. Our marketing off-island and around the world ensures visitors to our island and the growth of our island’s economy…something individual businesses simply cannot afford to do on their own. To others, the ability to be able to offer their employees health insurance at a reasonable cost or business development training that they could not offer on their own is a great benefit.  Still others believe that there is strength in numbers to ensure the business interests of the community are being heard.  And, for others, it is simply the right thing to do to invest in the economic health of Nantucket.   Tourism is the island's #1 industry.   Without it, whether your business services the visitor...or services those who service the visitor, our economy would be poor indeed!

As we look ahead, the significant growth of our organization in the past few years has created a solid foundation for further development of offerings to our membership and to our community.  Be a part of this great momentum - get involved!

Whatever your reason…please join us.  Together, we can make a difference!
