Social Media 101- March 12, 6-7:30 PM- - Learn to be savvy with social media for your business or brand and understand the differences between the major social networks in order to use them appropriately. This workshop will help you understand the importance of social media in your business and how you can be successful with it. We will cover Facebook Fan Pages, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Foursquare. Holly Finigan of Nantucket BlACKbook and Jason Bridges of Social Bridge Consulting and Nantucket Bike Tours are experts on social media, and use it constantly for their own local businesses. 12 Tips to Grow Your Fan Base on Facebook- March 13, 10 AM- 12 PM-
Are you having trouble growing your Facebook page? Have you defined your target audience on Facebook? Now is a good time to examine your Facebook activities, cutting out what isn’t working and expanding what works. We will offer 12 tips for growing your fan base on Facebook. We will also discuss brand messaging, post frequency, post content, engagement and advertising options available.

Talk Tweet To Me- March 19, 6-7:30 PM- A 90 minute class that focuses entirely on Twitter. From how to tweet, when to tweet, which ways Twitter is most effective, how to gain followers and retweets, and more, this class is the perfect way in becoming more twitter savvy. Holly and Jason will go over your profile, your past tweets, and show you how to tweet live throughout the class. Class is maxed out at 10 people to ensure attention is given to each student. Building an engaged audience requires branding on Google + and LinkedIn as well as the other major social platforms. Let us help you navigate these growing and undervalued networks to grow your brand. We will cover the changing playing field of social engagement for 2014 and also the social influencing measuring platform Klout. Google plus is the 2nd fastest growing social network out there, and is connected to Google Search, Google Places, and YouTube. We will cover the many different functionalities of G+ such as Hangouts, Hangouts Air, and Google Docs integration. Klout measures your social influence, not how many followers you have or how often you post. Klout gives you a score on how well your posts engage with others and the diversity of your engagement.
